Purchase Program
For departments that have chosen to participate, AHIT will provide one standard computer with monitor for business office staff members.
All of the Arts & Humanities academic departments contributing their IT support ASM funds are eligible to participate in this program.
If a customer has more than one machine, all machines must be SSCF-managed to receive one from SSCF and all must meet minimum performance standards.

PC-style keyboards and mice provided for all systems.
Apple-branded peripherals must be purchased by the department.
Monitors:
Provided monitors feature built-in docking stations, ethernet ports, webcams, and speakers.
Note: MacBook Air supports only one external monitor.
Accessibility Accommodations:
Available upon request, with potential campus funding support.
Subsidized Machines:
Standard configurations available; no department contribution required for specified models.
System Refresh Cycle:
Machines replaced based on minimum specifications, not a fixed schedule.
Specifications include processor benchmark score over 8000, 16GB RAM minimum, and SSD storage of at least 256GB.
Windows machines must have TPM (Trusted Platform Module) meeting TPM 2.0 standards.
Machines must support currently-supported operating systems (Windows 10, Ubuntu 20.04, MacOS 10.14).
Upgrades and Maintenance:
Option for component upgrades instead of full system replacements.
SSCF does not cover personal printers, A/V equipment, or non-standard peripherals.
Laptop warranties do not cover damage; repairs or replacements paid by the department.
ChromeOS Devices:
Full subsidy available; contact SSCF to check compatibility.
Newly purchased ChromeOS devices must have at least 4 years of support from Google.
