Step 1
https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9wzdncrfj3pz?hl=en-US&gl=US This link should open the Microsoft store to the right listing automatically. If it works skip step 2 and go straight to step 3.
OR
Start up your computer and go to the desktop. Click in the search bar of your start bar and search for Microsoft Store and launch it. If you see the blue shortcut circled in red you can launch the Microsoft Store directly using that icon.
Step 2
Search company portal at the top of the Microsoft Store window.
Step 3
This is the listing you are looking for. Choose the listing with this icon and information. Then click the get button to download the application.
Step 4
Once the application is installed the blue get button will change into a blue open button. Click the open button to launch the application.
Step 5
This step wants your full UC San Diego email address.
Step 6
Enter your full UC San Diego Email address and Active Directory password here on this screen.
Step 7
Approve the duo prompt that will be sent to your phone or enter the keycode from your key fob if applicable.
Step 8
Make sure the checkbox for “Allow my organization to manage my device” is checked. This allows us to make sure your computer is encrypted and also lock it down and erase the data from it if it's stolen or misplaced.
Step 9
You will see this for a minute or two after hitting OK on the previous screen.
Step 10
You will see this screen once the enrollment is successful.
Step 11
On this screen choose Arts & Humanities from the list of categories.
Step 12
Once you see this screen, look for the tile that says “THIS DEVICE” and make sure there is a green check mark and it says “Can access company resources”. It may take it a little while to check your system to determine this. If it doesn’t show up right away let it sit for an hour or two and check it again. Its fine to continue working while you wait for this.
It will often take up to a few hours to start downloading and installing all the managed applications that we deploy as standard. If it doesn’t happen within a few hours please try restarting your computer. If it doesn’t happen after around 24 hours pass please contact us at ahit@ucsd.edu for assistance.
